Eight Chinese Ministries Issue New Policy to Support Non-Ferrous Metal Recycling
Policy Issuing Background
At the end of 2025, MIIT together with seven other ministries issued the Non-Ferrous Metal Industry Stable Growth Plan (2025–2026), focusing on promoting the high-quality development of scrap copper, scrap aluminum and other renewable non-ferrous metals.
Core Policy Goals
The plan targets an annual growth of 5% in industrial output value, and the annual output of renewable non-ferrous metals will exceed 20 million tons. The state supports the construction of standardized recycling bases for waste metal resources.
Supporting Equipment Application
Large metal recycling bases are equipped with heavy-duty hydraulic compression equipment and dual system baler to compress metal scraps into standard bales for easy smelting and reuse.
